Our beautiful Robina Centre is located in Investigator Dr, providing easy access for families to the train, Robina Town Centre and the Hospital. Fully renovated, is our purpose built, air-conditioned, 7 room Early Education Centre.
Expansive verandahs and amazing outdoor playscapes provide for the perfect setting for our indoor/outdoor program. With a Centre bus onsite, we are able to ensure the Children extend their learning into the community.
Hi, I’m Cheryl Benson, the centre manager here at Bluebird Robina.
I knew I wanted to be a teacher from a very early age. After working in a variety of industries and never finding satisfaction, I decided to put my love of education to the test and give childcare a go. I volunteered for six months at a childcare centre and loved every moment of it, thrilled that I had finally found my dream career. Watching children develop new skills was so rewarding and I cherished the way just one cuddle from a child could wash away any of the days problems.
I have now worked in early childhood education for over 24 years, working my way up from being an untrained assistant to a lead educator, establishing myself as centre manager for more than 12 years.
At Bluebird Robina, we believe all children have the right to feel safe and secure in their environment and encourage them to become confident learners at their own pace. All our educators are either diploma or cert III qualified and have been at this centre for many years. We provide high quality care and are passionate about providing a nurturing environment where the children and families become extensions of our own families. Dedicated to constant improvement, we use our staff meetings to discuss how we can improve our practices to provide meaningful interactions with the children and their families.
When I’m not busy at the Bluebird Centre, I love spending quality time with my family and adore going on picnics at the beach, reading and watching movies. I moved to Queensland from Sydney 15 years ago and fully embraced the lifestyle here, although I’ll always be a passionate supporter of my team, the Sydney Roosters!
