Meet the Centre Manager
Hello, my name is Tammy, and I am the Centre Manager here at Bluebird Early Education Sinnamon Park.
Early Childhood Education has been a very special part of my life for the past 19 years, and it is a career I continue to feel incredibly passionate about. My journey began in Family Day Care, and since then I have worked across a variety of roles including Educator, Inclusion Support Educator, Educational Leader, Assistant Director and, for the past five years, Nominated Supervisor.
Throughout my career, one thing has always remained at the centre of what I do: the children. I believe children are capable, curious and full of ideas, and I love creating environments where they have a genuine voice in their learning. Some of my favourite moments are when a child’s curiosity takes an experience in a completely unexpected direction.
Relationships and a strong sense of belonging are also incredibly important to me. I want every child to feel seen, heard and valued, and every family to know they are an important part of our Service community.
My connection to First Nations culture and community is something I value deeply and naturally influences my approach to Early Childhood Education. I believe children should have genuine and respectful opportunities to learn about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories, perspectives and connection to Country as a meaningful part of their everyday learning.
As a leader, I am passionate about supporting, mentoring and encouraging Educators to recognise their strengths and continue growing in their practice. I believe that when Educators feel supported and valued, this flows through to the experiences we provide for our children and families.
After 19 years, I still feel incredibly lucky to do what I do. I look forward to getting to know you and your family and creating a place where your child feels confident to explore, wonder, learn and, most importantly, be themselves.
