About Bluebird Waterford

Care and Education for Children aged 6 weeks until 5 years

Welcome to Bluebird Early Education Waterford, the hidden gem among the beautiful local gum trees.

We pride ourselves on creating warm, genuine, and supportive relationships with our Families and Children. It is important to us that everyone connected to our Service feels that they are valued and respected from the moment they walk through our doors.

We believe that open communication forms the foundations necessary for Families to feel welcomed and supported within our Bluebird Waterford Community. “It takes a village to raise a child” and together, we will work in unison to ensure your little Bluebird thrives throughout their learning journey with us.

Our state-of-the-art Early Education facility is designed to “Ignite the Spirit of Learning” within every child – and our safe, inviting environments encourage children to freely explore the world around them. From our large fort, waterpark and sustainability areas to our sand/ mud stations, quiet reading nooks and chicken coop – your child will have endless opportunities to learn, play and investigate each day.

Our Highly Qualified and Passionate Educators provide an educational play-based program which supports children holistically. Guided by the National Early Years Framework and in collaboration with Children and Families – individual learning goals and group objectives are planned daily, with the common goal of supporting each child to reach their Educational milestones.

Teaching Children about kindness and the importance of helping others is a value we aim to instil in all. We will role model, show empathy and perform small acts of kindness throughout each year during our ‘Kindy of Kindness’ projects. We are passionate about culture and equality and truly believe in celebrating the unique factors that make us all so special.

Our Kinder Children engage in a Weekly Forest School Program designed to embed a deep connection to the natural environment. During this experience your Child will explore their natural surroundings, assess, and take appropriate risks (with a helping hand from our Educators) problem solve and engage in teamwork, all while supporting to increase their self-esteem.

Health and Nutrition plays such a vital role in the growth and develop of Children, establishing healthy eating habits is something our in-house Chef has in the forefront of her mind when creating healthy and delicious meals each day. You will be greeted by incredible aromas escaping from our kitchen each morning upon drop off, we are confident even the fussiest of eaters won’t be able to resist tasting her meals.

We understand that drop off / pick up times can be so busy for Families, for your convenience we provide a complimentary coffee machine which you are welcome to use at any time! Our amazing Chef also prepares healthy muffins/treats for those of us who need an ‘on the go’ breakfast or afternoon snack.

We can not wait to welcome you and your little one into the Bluebird Waterford nest!

Meet the Centre Manager

Hello, my name is Whitney, and I am the Centre Manager here at Bluebird Early Education Waterford. I have worked within the Early Learning Sector for over 17 years, and I am originally from Auckland, New Zealand.

New Zealand is where I started my time in our industry and where my true passion for working with young minds and Educators alike began. My time in the New Zealand Early Education Sector taught me to use our amazing environments as an educational influence whilst embracing cultural aspects into our day-to-day rituals.

I believe that every day is a new learning opportunity, and it is our responsibility to scaffold, enhance, establish, and build experiences that allow children to flourish.

One of my many passions is supporting Educators and reminding them to slow things down and enjoy watching meaningful experiences unfold – by slowing down, we can see a small glimpse of the bigger world through children’s eyes.

I place high importance on establishing strong and meaningful relationships with Families, Children, Educators and the wider Community. Together, we work as a harmonious circle.

I strongly believe that each child is unique and if we listen carefully, they too have their own voice. One of my key morals is respect in all its forms, I feel that by being respectful we allow for a strong sense of security to enfold.

I look forward to meeting you and all your Family and joining you on your Bluebird journey.
