We believe that open communication forms the foundations necessary for Families to feel welcomed and supported within our Bluebird Waterford Community. “It takes a village to raise a child” and together, we will work in unison to ensure your little Bluebird thrives throughout their learning journey with us.
Our state-of-the-art Early Education facility is designed to “Ignite the Spirit of Learning” within every child – and our safe, inviting environments encourage children to freely explore the world around them. From our large fort, waterpark and sustainability areas to our sand/ mud stations, quiet reading nooks – your child will have endless opportunities to learn, play and investigate each day.
Our Highly Qualified and Passionate Educators provide an educational play-based program which supports children holistically. Guided by the National Early Years Framework and in collaboration with Children and Families – individual learning goals and group objectives are planned daily, with the common goal of supporting each child to reach their Educational milestones.
Teaching Children about kindness and the importance of helping others is a value we aim to instil in all. We will role model, show empathy and perform small acts of kindness throughout each year during our ‘Kindy of Kindness’ projects. We are passionate about culture and equality and truly believe in celebrating the unique factors that make us all so special.
Health and Nutrition plays such a vital role in the growth and develop of Children, establishing healthy eating habits is something our in-house Cook has in the forefront of her mind when creating healthy and delicious meals each day. You will be greeted by incredible aromas escaping from our kitchen each morning upon drop off, we are confident even the fussiest of eaters won’t be able to resist tasting her meals.
We understand that drop off / pick up times can be so busy for Families, for your convenience we provide a complimentary coffee machine which you are welcome to use at any time! Our amazing Cook also prepares healthy muffins/treats for those of us who need an ‘on the go’ breakfast or afternoon snack.

Meet the Centre Manager
Hello, my name is Bianca Kirkham and I am the Centre Manager here at Bluebird Waterford. I hold my Advanced Diploma and have been in the Early Childhood Sector for 25 years, 20 of these in Management positions.
I place value on Early Childhood and believe it is such an important part of your child’s life. I believe Early Education is the foundation for future success in life and that the first five years are what matter the most.
I believe children are competent, capable learners and active investigators. I believe children should be treated positively with their strengths nurtured and encouraged. Inclusive practises need to be implemented through collaboration methods, incorporating children’s, families’ and communities’ perspectives. To allow this I will ensure, allow and provide the opportunities for children to ‘just be’ – to explore, learn, grow and develop.
I believe that children have a right to: always feel and be safe, physically and emotionally, to be unique and to express their ideas and feelings naturally and freely – in a Service that is inclusive and facilitates positive learning through the environments created. Valuing and respecting the cultural and social context of children and their families.
Being a leader, role model and mentor creates a harmonious environment and ensures all team members feel valued and supported to reach their full potential – resulting in the Service reaching its full potential. As a leader, I focus on getting to know all of my team members and finding each of their strengths, continuing to develop and support these.
I believe families are the most important part of a child’s life, I really enjoy getting to know each and every person who walks through our door, ensuring they feel supported, acknowledged and respected.
