Our early education centre in Moe believes in providing an excellent and engaging early childhood education experience.
Our program is built on the belief that children will excel when given the opportunity to explore and create within their classroom environment. Our flexible programming is also designed to meet the needs of all children in the classroom. It is child-centered and art based and helps provide the foundation on which all later learning will be built.
The best way to understand our program is to visit and see it in action! We look forward to showing you around our facility and starting what may be a long term relationship with you and your family. We strongly believe that the family and educators must form a close alliance for the benefit of each child within the Centre and we know that you will be more than pleased with the quality of care and education that your child receives whilst with us.
Hi, I’m Kate Hanley, the centre manager here at Bluebird Moe.
As a devoted mum to five beautiful children, I have always been passionate about early childhood learning and children’s development. I love working with and supporting people in their own life journeys and cherish the concept of family. Recognising that the number one teacher in a child’s life are their parents, my personal philosophy aims to guide educators as the second teacher to support children’s growth and development. I strongly believe in the environment being the third teacher for children, which is why I adore the setting of high quality early education facilities.
I have been working in the education sector for over 20 years, undertaking varied roles such as disability services for the education department and program design and implementation for the Transport Accident Commission. With qualifications in community, disability and early childhood education services, my range of experience brings new elements to Bluebird Centre.
At Bluebird Moe, our service reflects a soothing, natural environment for learning and development that devotes respect and dedication to children and families. Inspired by the work of early childhood theorists Reggio Emilia, Maria Montessori and Rudolf Steiner, we incorporate these philosophies into our own working pedagogical practices, which are reflective throughout the centre. We encourage perspective parents considering early childhood education and care to come into Bluebird Moe for a tour of the centre and to meet out wonderful staff.
When I’m not busy at the Bluebird Centre, you’ll often find me riding horses on my horse stud in rural Gippsland. An avid equestrian, I have been competing nationally since I was a child and recently trained and competed in the Victorian State Championships, successfully winning my section and taking out the state title.
